My Story
I'm so glad you're here! I'm Katie -- and Bramble and Board is an outpouring of my soul. Hospitality has been deeply rooted in my family for generations. As newlyweds, my husband and I loved hosting our friends for game nights, and I began creating small charcuterie boards to complement the fun. As the years went on, the boards grew more and more artful and untamed. I curated my first full grazing table for a friend's baby shower in 2023. From then on, local Hampton Roads connections brought more opportunities to create. Bramble and Board offered the flexible space I needed to build something creative, pour into passion, and challenge myself in new areas.
Outside of the kitchen, you can find me playing wildly with my two young children, spending time outside, and reading nonfiction books and research articles about the other half of my soul's passion: child development, parenting, early childhood education, and all things young children.
